Dr. Celine Latulipe at BBL this week!
We are excited to announce that Dr. Celine Latulipe will be speaking at this week’s Brown Bag Lunch. Her talk, entitled “Teamwork, Design and Sketching for Intro Programming Classes,” looks to reinvent the way programming classes are taught by implementing both design and HCI principles.
Dr. Latulipe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Software and Information Systems in the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University. Her research involves developing and evaluating novel interaction techniques, creativity support tools and technologies to support the arts. One of her recent papers entitled, “Learning in Distributed Low-Stakes Teams,” won the Best Paper Award at SIGCSE 2015. You can see more of her published work here.
We hope you can join us for what we expect to be an interesting, engaging, and fun installment of HCIL’s weekly BBL series! As always, thank you to Yahoo! for supplying the free pizza.
